A new study – Dust and Biological Aerosols from the Sahara and Asia Influence Precipitation in the Western U.S. – reports that researchers have documented  dust and biological particles from as far away as the Sahara Desert and the deserts of China and Mongolia impact “precipitation processes” over the western US. The abstract is available here and the full text is accessible through the library’s website via its subscription with Science journal. Any questions regarding accessing the report please Ask a Librarian.
