A new study – Dust and Biological Aerosols from the Sahara and Asia Influence Precipitation in the Western U.S. – reports that researchers have documented dust and biological particles from as far away as the Sahara Desert and the deserts of China and Mongolia impact “precipitation processes” over the western US.
