Dr. Louis Uccellini, Director of the National Weather Service Remembers UCAR/NCAR Colleagues

Dr. Louis Dr. Louis Uccellini, the recently appointed Director of the National Weather Service (NWS) recalls his mentors and colleagues during his time as a student at UW-Madison’s Department of Meteorology in the 1970’s. He comments on the increased accuracy of the science of weather forecasting, the need for continued collaboration and taking an interdisciplinary approach to the science of forecasting.
